Sawyer developed his passion for dogs while serving in the United States Air Force and has been professionally training dogs since 2015. He started with a yearlong apprenticeship under a trainer who has over 20 years of training experience, and at the end of this apprenticeship was offered a job as his head trainer. After two years of working in obedience, agility, and personal protection, he was offered the opportunity of training for a world renown explosive detection company that allowed him to successfully train dogs for several agencies to include TSA, NYPD, NFL, and various others. Fast-forward to 2019, Sawyer decided to pursue his ultimate goal of starting his own canine training company, and that is how Top Flight K9 began. His love for dogs of all shapes and sizes has led to a lifetime relationship between clients and trainer as well as unbreakable bonds between pets and their owners. As a combat-veteran he knowns the importance of hard work and dedication, so it is no surprise the positive feedback he has received from clients and peers.
